AquaSafe provides specialized one-on-one swimming instruction tailored to the student's special needs. We use customized techniques to ensure that students get the most out of their swimming lessons by building immediate rapport with each child through games, songs, props and encouragement. Our experienced, patient instructors create a safe, supportive environment where each student can learn at their own pace. AquaSafe works with your local Regional Center for funding and will accept managers' approvals. We focus on building water safety skills and confidence through individualized techniques that work best for each student's unique needs and abilities.

Our Instructors

  • All of our lessons are 1:1 — just the student and the instructor
  • All instructors are certified in CPR and First Aid
  • All have completed Lifeguarding and/or Coached Swimming
  • All have experience with special needs clients through past jobs and family, and complete AquaSafe's intensive training program

AquaSafe does not charge any registration fees. AquaSafe also offers sibling discounts when booked with a Regional Center client.

How to Get Started

  1. Pick a start date — choose the 1st day of the month you would like to begin.
  2. Contact your Regional Center worker with all of your information.
  3. Let your worker know that AquaSafe accepts Manager's Approvals. Ask them to email it to [email protected] along with your name and phone number — this speeds up the process.
  4. AquaSafe will then reach out to you directly to schedule your lessons.
