Effective August 19, 2026
The short version: AquaSafeSwim.com is a static, cookie-free website. We don't use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising cookies anywhere on the site. The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to type into our online contact/request-information form, which is delivered to us through a third-party form service called Formspree.
AquaSafe Swimming Lessons ("AquaSafe," "we," "us," or "our") provides private swim instruction in the San Diego, Palm Springs, San Luis Obispo/Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles/San Fernando regions of California. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information collected through aquasafeswim.com (the "Site"). If you have questions, you can reach us at [email protected].
The only way we collect personal information through the Site is when you voluntarily submit our "Request More Information" contact form. Depending on the fields you fill out, this may include:
We do not collect this information from any other page or feature of the Site, and we do not ask children to submit information directly — the form is intended to be completed by a parent or guardian.
Like virtually all websites, our hosting provider's servers automatically log some technical information from every visitor as part of normal web server operation — for example, IP address, browser type, and the page requested. This happens at the infrastructure level regardless of whether you interact with the Site, and we do not use it for tracking, profiling, or advertising. We do not have a separate analytics platform layered on top of this basic server logging.
AquaSafeSwim.com is a static website with no user accounts, no analytics or advertising software, and no first-party cookies. We do not use tools like Google Analytics or Meta/Facebook Pixel, and we do not track your browsing activity on or across other websites.
We do not set any cookies, local storage, or similar tracking technologies on aquasafeswim.com. The only script running on the Site is a small piece of code that powers our mobile navigation menu, "back to top" button, and testimonial carousel — it runs entirely in your browser and does not collect or transmit any information.
The one exception is the contact form described below: when you submit it, your browser sends your form entries directly to our form processor's servers. That processor may set its own cookies or use its own security technologies (for example, to filter spam) as part of receiving your submission. Those technologies are controlled by the processor, not by us — see the next section for details.
Because we don't track visitors across websites or build browsing profiles, there is no cross-site tracking for a "Do Not Track" browser signal to disable. We do not currently respond differently to DNT signals for that reason.
We use the information you submit through our contact form solely to:
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or third-party marketing.
Our San Diego-region contact page uses Formspree, a third-party service, to receive and deliver form submissions to our email inbox. When you submit the form, your entries are sent to and processed on Formspree's servers before reaching us. Formspree acts as a data processor on our behalf and maintains its own privacy and security practices, which you can review in Formspree's Privacy Policy.
We do not control how Formspree's infrastructure handles data in transit or at rest beyond what's described in its policy, and we encourage you to review it if you have questions about that processing.
Our lessons are for children, so our contact form allows a parent or guardian to share a child's name, age, and (optionally) information about special needs. This information is provided voluntarily by an adult for the purpose of arranging swim lessons — we do not knowingly collect information directly from children online, and the Site is not directed at soliciting information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted information to us directly, please contact us and we will delete it.
Any special needs or accommodations information you share is used only to prepare instructors for your child's lesson, and is shared only with the staff and instructors directly involved in scheduling and teaching that lesson — never for advertising or any purpose unrelated to your child's instruction.
We keep contact form submissions in our email and business records for as long as you remain a prospective or active client, and for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, after which we delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time — see "Your Choices and Rights" below. Copies of your submission may also remain in Formspree's systems in accordance with Formspree's own retention practices.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:
The Site links out to our Instagram, Facebook, Yelp, and Google Maps profiles. These are ordinary outbound links, not embedded widgets — clicking one takes you to that company's own site, where its own privacy policy and cookie practices apply. We're not responsible for the practices of these third-party sites.
You can ask us at any time to:
To make a request, email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. Because the Site is cookie-free, there's no tracking-based advertising to opt out of. We will not discriminate against you — for example, by denying or degrading our services — for exercising any of these rights.
We're based in California, and as a matter of practice we honor the requests described above (access, correction, and deletion) for all visitors regardless of where you live, including rights referenced in the California Consumer Privacy Act. As a small local business, we don't sell personal information and don't engage in the kind of large-scale data sharing that CCPA/CPRA primarily targets.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, including relying on a reputable third-party processor (Formspree) to transmit form submissions securely. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or our practices. The "Effective" date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent revision.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, please contact us at [email protected] or by phone at one of the numbers listed below.
